About the speaker:

Anil has 35+ years of experience in Information Systems and has been working in the information security space for the last 20+ years. Successfully managed and delivered consulting projects for implementing Information Security Management System (ISMS), Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), Cyber Fraud Management, Information Security Governance and Compliance reviews, Data Privacy assessment and implementation for several clients. Was involved in formulating Security Strategies, Governance framework, Policies & Procedures; Information Security Audits and IS Risk Assessment as well as improved information security architecture covering information technology, physical and environmental security, logical access controls, security in information systems development process, etc. Performed digital fraud investigations and advisory services related to fraud risk management for various organizations across multiple verticals like BFSI, IT/ITES, Manufacturing and Pharmaceuticals etc. for fraud risk management.

About the session:

“Data Privacy” has become a key focus for many organizations across the globe. Multiple countries across the globe have already come up with privacy legislations and more are in the process of enacting the laws related to this. In India also the data privacy bill is currently waiting to be an act that would be called Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Implementation of a Data privacy program within an organization has really gained momentum when GDPR was announced and enforced. Today, almost all the corporates, small/medium enterprises are generating lots of data including the ‘personally identifiable data’ and need to work on establishing the data privacy program. In the session, we will discuss few concepts related to data privacy and various frameworks that can be used for establishing a data privacy program.
