About the speaker:

A retired government employee with 25 years of experience in the field of cyber, avionics, etc. Currently working as an Associate Professor at National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar with a Ph.D. in Mobile Forensics, my research interests include cyber forensics, IoT, and Drones. With 17 research papers in reputed journals and conferences (including 07 Scopus indexed) and counting, the aim is to help the research community and academia integrate with the industry so that more cyber professionals can improve the endpoint security of the country.

About the session:

The cyber-world is abuzz with a large number of financial frauds. These financial frauds are on the rise with large-scale digitization and are targeting all strata of society. While a number of measures are being taken by the government to prevent financial fraud, it is practically not possible to safeguard all with limited resources. Hence, cyber-aware professionals have to come forward and join hands together in fighting this menace. A simple and easy method that can be adopted by one and all is to follow basic cyber hygiene while doing financial transactions. While some of the measures suggested securing our money may appear to be common sense but it still found wanting even among the educated lot. This talk aims to do our bit as cybercitizens and help the community to secure their finances in a simple and yet efficient manner.
